一棵树是一个生命体。 一棵树由一条中轴线组成,我们称之为主干或树干;无数的侧枝承载着叶子、花朵和果实,还有一个根部,在不同层次上有多个分支。 在一棵树上,每个细节都有自己的称呼,例如,一片叶子与一个分支的角度我们称之为叶腋。

树木的形状和外观是可变的。 每种类型的土壤和每种类型的气候都属于某些树木,我们只能在特定的条件下找到它们。 在自然界中,每棵树都反映了环境的条件。 然后是那些由于人类活动而扩大了分布区域的树木,要么是通过进口外来的和观赏性的物种,要么是通过以下行动林业或水果种植业。

也许只是因为它们的外表,人类并不容易欣赏。 欣赏意味着仅仅通过了解它们的存在就能获得一种宁静的感觉,因为我们与自然界的时间节奏相联系;因为通过树木我们看到了季节的变化;因为我们记住了凉爽、庇护所、鸟儿或树叶沙沙的微妙声音。

树是一个可以活很多年的生命体。 树,就像我们一样,但有另一种天然的超级技术,因为它们没有嘴、眼睛、对立的拇指或腿,可以四处移动、呼吸、出汗、进食、繁殖和死亡。

例如,被认定为葡萄牙国树的栓皮栎可以活300年,如果被剥去树皮,则可以活150至200年。 换句话说,人类的行为对树木的寿命有影响,既可以缩短它,如上面提到的情况,也可以延长它,特别是如果我们想到一棵树由于某种原因而出现了疾病的迹象。

软木橡树是一种被认为是中等大小的树木,可以达到20米的高度,相当于一栋大约有六层楼的建筑物。 换句话说,对于每一棵树,都可以有一个关于它将占据的尺寸的大致概念。

反思

我们所有人都可能有能力打倒一个生命,即使它只是一棵树的生命。 但是,打倒那个花了这么长时间才创造出来的生命有意义吗? 我们希望有一个只有人类的世界,没有树木、其他动物或昆虫来打扰我们吗?

树木的自然形状和外观是可以变化的。 为了改变它们的形状和外观,我们应该很好地研究树木;我们应该明白,每一次互动都会带来后果;我们应该以非常谨慎和极其微妙的方式行事。

毕竟,大自然在原则上完全知道它需要什么样的机制来调节自己,保证自己的存在。 我们人类为什么要不分青红皂白地干涉这种机制呢?
